Frequently Asked Questions

The questions we are asked most often before a translation or interpretation project begins.

What kind of company is Wooshang?
Wooshang Bridge is a group of professional translators providing video translation, document translation and interpretation in 201 languages. Based in Seoul, Shanghai, Chicago and Berlin, we work with 1,200+ accredited linguists across 27+ countries. Our credits include video translation for Netflix, KBS, EBS, JTBC, Channel A and CJ ENM.
How fast is video translation delivered?
Our standard is 48 hours from intake to delivery. For major language pairs we deliver 650 to 700 minutes within 48 hours, and 360 minutes for minor language pairs. This is possible because we run two to three parallel teams, each with a PM and 10 or more translators.
How many languages do you support?
We support 201 languages, from major languages such as English, Chinese and Japanese through to rare languages, African languages, minority languages and Taiwanese dialects. We maintain dedicated teams even for languages that are hard to staff in Korea, including Khmer, Amharic, Sinhala, Somali, Norwegian and Creole.
Do you handle Chinese video translation?
Yes. With a branch in Shanghai, both Simplified and Traditional Chinese are handled by native linguists on the ground. Chinese is one of our core languages, covering subtitle translation, SRT file production and broadcast preview translation.
What file formats do you deliver in?
Subtitles are delivered as SRT, SMI, VTT or ASS. Documents are supported in Word (DOCX), HWP, PDF and TXT, and office files in Excel (XLSX) and PowerPoint (PPT). Video editing files can be delivered for Premiere Pro, Final Cut and Cinema. Other formats are available on request.
Can I contact you on weekends or holidays?
Yes. We were the first in the translation industry to run a duty roster, supporting translation and on-site service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week from our Seoul headquarters, with no holiday closures. Reach us any time at +82 70 8018 6641 or pm@wooshang.com.
How do I get a quote?
Contact us by phone or email and a dedicated project manager will be assigned to confirm your quote and schedule. You can also request one through the inquiry form or the rate sheet download at the bottom of our homepage. Each language PM issues quotes directly, which keeps pricing reasonable.
How is translation quality managed?
Every project goes through five stages: intake, PM assignment, team deployment, QC and review, and delivery. The QC stage includes nuance review and subtitle Q&A support, with a dedicated project manager overseeing the whole process.
