1. Time Required

Before discussing video translation, we need to understand the video industry better (though how much can a translator really know about it...). Based on my firsthand experience in the field, here are the key characteristics:

Video translation projects typically fall into two categories: cases where video editing requires translation first, and cases where uploads need translation. Either way, both are urgent. Clients appreciate real-time communication about translation progress.

People don't realize that a 20-minute video translation takes half a day. (I didn't know this when I entered the translation industry either. I thought I could quickly handle even hour-long content...)

Some of our regular clients request translations for 2-hour videos saying, "Could you possibly finish by lunch the day after tomorrow...? Please "
